| I obtained 10 GCSEs at High School with grades of: 3As, 1B, 4Cs, 1D & 1E. The As were in
Science (AA) and English (AB). |
| At Sixth Form I started 3 A-Levels (Maths, Physics & Chemistry) but I found the A-Levels
were not for me so moved on after a year. During the year I achieved a Distinction in RSA Word Processing and a
grade B in GCSE General Studies. |
| At College I achieved a National Diploma (ND) in Engineering (Electronics & Computing) with
an average grade of Merit. This was a two year course including a 3 week trip to Germany to work in an
Elektronicschule (Electronics College) and a summer placement at BT. At the end of the course I applied for a BT
Modern Apprenticeship but was unsuccessful. |
| In September 2000 I was successful and started the BT Modern Apprenticeship Scheme. Whilst
participating in the scheme I completed NVQ Key Skills Level 3 (portfolio only), NVQ Developing IT Programs Level
2 and NVQ Developing IT Systems Level 3 successfully. I achieved a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Computing
(Software Engineering) at College with an average grade of Merit. |
| After completing the scheme I have passed the NVQ Key Skills examinations thus completing
my NVQ Key Skills Level 3. By completing more modules at College my HNC is now a HND. I am currently studying
further modules towards a BSc in Software Engineering (continuing from my HND). |
