Catherine Cookson has written thousands of novels many of which I have read.
My favourites are a set of children's books called Matty Doolin, Lanky Jones, Our John Willie, Go Tell It To Mrs Golightly & Mrs Flannagan's Trumpet. These stories captured my heart as they describe the trials and tribulations of everyday life.
