Kyren Web was an updated version of Web Heaven to utilise my three domains, www.hellbound.co.uk & www.lairs.co.uk.
Stage 1 : Redesigning The Website
The website was to be redesigned in three main sections, one for each domain, with a main welcome section located on www.web-heaven.co.uk. Each section has a respective theme.
Stage 2 : Structuring the Website
Web Heaven, HellBound and Lairs were designed to represent Heaven (blue theme), Hell (red theme) and Earth (green theme) respectively. The three sites are mirror images of each other, except the neighbourhood pages, to provide different environments. A welcome page links the three sites together.
Stage 3 : Developing the Website
Since this is a restructure and redesign of an existing site little development was required. However, significant research was undertaken to provide ideas for possible developments.
In this version of the website the originality was to be mainly in the content taking the emphasis away from the themes. I used a main navigation bar with sub bars to encourage visitors.
I used Cascading Style Sheets to provide a template for each themed section of the website and concentrated on adding content to my website. These additions included a news site detailing updates as well as a personal area and games section.
Due to financial constraints and the duplication of effort required to run three domains I have developed the website to occupy only the Lairs section. For a description of how Lairs developed visit the section History Of Lairs
